Woranora Stud is located near Windsor, 1 hour west of Sydney, Australia. The stud was established in 1980 and has been breeding exclusively Welsh since 1984.
We breed Welsh Mountain & Welsh Ponies with the aim of producing not only beautiful true to type ponies but ponies which have the temperament, conformation and movement suitable to win in hand and under saddle. Ponies bred have excelled both at halter and under saddle at major shows in all states of Australia winning in events as varied as Show and Working Hunter, Dressage, Leading Rein, Hacking and Pony Club.
Our mares have been carefully chosen not only for their beauty and bloodlines but also their temperament. All foals are handled from birth and we like to try to place them in homes where their potential will be realised.
